October 2008
Blaenymaes children and staff have returned to school after a very damp Summer holiday ready to work hard and have fun!!
Congratulations to all those mums, dads and guardians who managed to get their children into school uniform. Well done indeed!!
The children look gorgeous, ready for school and ready to learn.
A big Blaenyaes welcome to all our new children this term. We are lucky to have lots of fantastic new Nursery children and a few fabulous additions throughout the school. Welcome one and all! Lots of things are already going on in school. A ‘Children’s Matter’ parents group has begun.
Lots of extra curricular activities are offered to the children from Art Club to Aikido.
Each year group has special visits planned and the best class for attendance getting a free session in Play Zone at the end of term.
We have a busy term ahead and if you want any information or wish to speak any member of staff please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Portmead Primary School
Work has begun on Portmead Primary School to redecorate the building. The children will take the lead in deciding colour themes and designs that will bring a fresh touch ready for next year’s pupils. This is being done with the appreciated help of Neath Port Talbot Youth Probation Service. The team of young offenders have already started work and we all look forward to the new look.
A massive congratulations to Myles Maddick (Year3) and David Davies (Year5) who have both achieved 100% attendance this year!
